Paul is Live

Released in 1993. Paul Is Live, recorded during the tour in support of Off the Ground, was Paul's fifth live album and is known for its title's double meaning and the rumour-scotching cover art. Ever since the 1969 release of Abbey Road, there had been hoax-fuelled stories of Paul’s untimely death. The new title was a way of saying that this was most definitely not the case. The artwork is a play on the known Abbey Road cover, with Paul crossing that same street but wearing shoes and using his left hand this time. (Originally, his bare feet and the holding of a cigarette in his right hand had supposedly been clues that it wasn't him on the cover.) As well as a raft of solo, Wings and Beatles favourites, the album also offers an insight into the band's sound checks, the final three songs all being improvised during rehearsals in various locations on the tour.

2019 remaster. Includes miniature poster, 2 x inner-sleeve and white booklet featuring the Japanese translations of the lyrics.

Flaming Pie

Released in 1997. Having been heavily involved in The Beatles’ Anthology project, Paul had time to reflect on the standards he and his bandmates had set during their career, and applied these to what would become his first album in four years. Made in a much more spontaneous style, with songs recorded here and there, it's an album that luxuriates in its own sense of fun. Featuring producers George Martin and Jeff Lynne, as well as musicians including Steve Miller, Ringo Starr and his own son, James McCartney, Flaming Pie would go on to become one of Paul's most acclaimed albums. Sales were brisk, with the album only kept from the Number 1 slot on both sides of the Atlantic by the cultural phenomenon that was the Spice Girls' Spice album.

2020 remaster. Includes 16-page booklet and white booklet featuring the Japanese translations of the lyrics.

Chaos and Creation in the Backyard

Released to widespread critical acclaim in 2005 and earning Paul three Grammy nominations, Chaos and Creation in the Backyard saw McCartney hand over production to the R.E.M and Radiohead collaborator Nigel Godrich. Featuring a black-and-white cover image, taken by his brother Mike, of a young Paul absentmindedly strumming a guitar in his back garden, and with a song inspired by George Harrison ('Friends to Go'), it's a deeply personal collection of songs enhanced by Godrich's production. It also features 'How Kind of You', which was triggered by Paul's love of language.

2005 master. Includes inner-sleeve, 4 x art print and white booklet featuring the Japanese translations of the lyrics.

New

Released in 2013. The album was his first since 2007's Memory Almost Full to consist entirely of new compositions. The idea for NEW became that it would be a multi-producer Paul McCartney album: with four distinct styles, four different sets of ideas, coming together into one. The album was executive produced by Giles Martin, with production by Martin, Mark Ronson, Ethan Johns and Paul Epworth and it was mastered by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound, New York.

Includes 20-page booklet, inner-sleeve and white booklet featuring the Japanese translations of the lyrics.

Amoeba Gig

Released in 2019. Amoeba Gig is the first full length commercial release of Paul’s surprise free concert at Hollywood’s Amoeba Music on June 27, 2007. Originally only four songs had seen wide release as the Amoeba’s Secret EP, two of which were nominated for Grammy Awards in 2008: 'That Was Me' for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance and 'I Saw Her Standing There' for Best Solo Rock Vocal Performance. A few years later in November 2012, an extended 12-song excerpt of the Amoeba show titled Live in Los Angeles – The Extended Set was made available free to PaulMcCartney.com premium members for a limited period.

2019 remix. Included inner-sleeve and the white booklet featuring the Japanese translations of the lyrics.
